Petroglyph Tours
Take
this rare opportunity to trek through centuries old petroglyphs
or rock carvings left by the Indians who inhabited this area over
500 years ago. Your trail takes you through jungle and boulder-strewn
areas in which these ancient carvings are located. Eventually you
enter a beautiful, mystical grotto of cascading rocks and pools
which was used by these people as a sacred area for meditation.
The petroglyphs you will see reflect what was important to the
inhabitants—their food, their gods and their natural surroundings.
Tours include round trip transportation, plus a
light lunch and beverages. Allow 3-4 hours, beginning at 9 a.m. from
Macondo.
Rates;
$25 per person, minimum of 4 people Group
rates available.
